The application and the application process
Alliant Energy is currently accepting applications for the Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards program. To be considered for the Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards program, completed applications must be postmarked no later than June 12, 2009.
The application is available below or you can request a printed copy and information packet by calling 1-866-ALLIANT.

About the application
The application has two parts: a portion to fill in important facts about your community and an essay section. In the essay section, we ask you to answer the following questions:
- Explain why participating in the Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards program is important to your community.
- Has your community ever attempted a community wide initiative? If not, why do you believe Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards will work in your community?
- How will your community leverage Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards program funding and support from Alliant Energy? This can be through matching funds, marketing support, or other community resources.
- Please list community organizations in support of the Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards initiative and how they will contribute to the program.
- How do you see Alliant Energy helping your community reach its goals?

Selection
The Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards program managers will announce their selection within 6 weeks after the application deadline. Program managers will contact the main contact of the communities selected for participation. A general announcement of communities selected for the program will be made at this Web site and publicized to local media.
