Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards
Save energy, save money, earn rewards!

Town square with signpostsTurning off lights when you leave a room, investing in a high efficiency furnace, switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL), turning the thermostat up a few degrees in the summer and down a few in the winter… You know there are big and small ways to save energy in your home.  You also know that saving energy saves money.  What if everyone in your town worked together to save energy and money?

Your entire town could earn rewards.

With the new Alliant Energy Hometown Rewards program, offered by Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL) and Alliant Energy Company, we will work with a volunteer committee from your town, to set energy savings goals and find ways to meet them over a two-year period.

If the goals are met, Alliant Energy will help fund a pre-determined energy-efficiency project in your community. It could be new LED street lights, an efficient heating and cooling system for the school or maybe energy-efficient windows for the town library –you determine the reward.
