All-electric Tesla Roadster makes Cedar Rapids stop on coast-to-coast journey
Alliant Energy, I-Renew and Kirkwood to host event in support of Renew America Roadtrip™
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – July 21, 2009 – On Tuesday, July 21, Interstate Power and Light Co. (IPL), an Alliant Energy company along with Iowa Renewable Energy Association (I-Renew) will co-host a stop of the Renew America Roadtrip™ from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Kirkwood Community College, Auto Technology building, in Cedar Rapids. Come chat about the future of transportation with the road crew of the Renew America Roadtrip™ (RAR) project and see the centerpiece of the journey: the amazing, all-electric Tesla Roadster!
The RAR team will be stopping by Cedar Rapids on their way cross-country from NYC to San Francisco as part of their drive to raise awareness for renewable, sustainable, and eco-friendly initiatives. While there, there will be free drawings for chances to ride in their beautiful Tesla Motors Roadster, ‘America’s first production all-electric sportscar.’
