Alliant Energy Corporation declares common stock dividend

MADISON, WI – October 16, 2009 – Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE: LNT) announced today quarterly dividends on common stock were declared by the Board of Directors.

The common stock dividend is $.3750 per share payable on November 13, 2009, to shareowners of record on close of business October 30, 2009.

Dividends on common stock have been paid for 256 consecutive quarters since 1946.
