Note: Bulbs and/or fixtures must be ENERGY STAR® or Design Lights Consortium™ qualified as appropriate.
Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs)
ENERGY STAR qualified CFLs use about 66 percent less energy than standard incandescent bulbs and last 10 times longer. That's more than 6,000 hours of usage from a CFL, as opposed to around 600 hours for an incandescent bulb.

Permanent lamp removal (Delamping)
Permanent lamp removal can be claimed if completed project results in a net reduction in the quantity of lamps. Delamping must be accompanied with lamp and ballast replacement/retrofit. The total number of lamps claimed for delamping cannot be more than the number of replacement lamps installed. Fixtures that are delamped in entirety must also be de-wired from the system and the ballast(s) completely removed in order to qualify for rebates.
