For Alliant Energy residential customers in Minnesota
If it's time to install a new heating or cooling unit in your home, it makes sense to invest in an energy-efficient system. It also makes sense to ask your dealer about rebates from Alliant Energy.
Alliant Energy has great rebates on central air conditioners, clock-programmable thermostats, water heaters, insulation, natural gas furnaces and geothermal heat pumps that meet minimum energy-efficiency standards.

Eligible equipment and rebate amounts:
Important Reminder about Minnesota Geothermal Rebates
All units must equal or exceed efficiency rating of 17.1 EER and COP 3.6 (closed loop) or 21.1 EER and COPP 4.1 (open loop). Rebate payment will be based on AHRI certificate(s) or AHRI directory-verified efficiency and the partial load EER and COP ratings and the full-load Cooling Btuh.
Rebate payment for variable speed units will be based on the AHRI certificate partial load EER & COP ratings to determine if the unit meets the minimum requirements.
A geothermal rebate may not exceed $5,000 (does not include desuperheater bonus).
Maximum of 15 tons total system size. Larger units please call 1-866-255-4268 for more information.

AFUE - Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency
SEER - Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio
Btuh – British Thermal Units Per Hour
HSPF – Heating Seasonal Performance Factor
COP - Coefficient of Performance
EF - Energy Factor
AHRI – Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute
* Total cost = contract labor + equipment + material
Your equipment dealer can explain the efficiency standards and help you determine your total rebate.

Qualifications
- Qualifying units must be shown in the AHRI or ENERGY STAR directories.
