Rotational Engineer Program

Alliant Energy’s innovative Rotational Engineer Program is designed specifically for recent college graduates in the electrical engineering discipline.

The program consists of up to four different departmental assignments, giving you the opportunity to experience different roles and responsibilities within various engineering functions before committing to a particular department or function.

The assignments vary in length as well as responsibilities, with a minimum duration of six months. Each rotation is individually crafted to your career path.

As a Rotational Engineer, you’ll be assigned a regional work location during your term of the program. You may request a move to another region as part of your rotation assignment, or you may be requested to relocate to another region or office.

Upon successful completion of the Rotational Engineer Program, every effort will be made to assign you to your area of first preference. You’ll be well on your way to achieving your professional goals.
