United Way

Local United Way organizations throughout Alliant Energy’s utility service territory received a total of more than $586,000 in financial support from the Alliant Energy Foundation in 2007.

These contributions reflect a portion of the amount pledged by Alliant Energy employees and retirees through the company’s annual United Way campaign.

The contributions are directed to local United Ways in 88 communities across the service area to support human needs organizations and United Way programs in those areas.

Since 2000, the Alliant Energy Foundation and Alliant Energy employees and retirees have given more than $9.7 million to United Way and Community Chest organizations.
