Community members in Rudd sitting more comfortably with Alliant Energy support

Alliant Energy Foundation provides grant to Rudd Community Betterment project

MADISON, WI – May 2, 2008 – The Alliant Energy Foundation is providing a $1,000 grant to the Rudd Community Betterment Project to purchase chairs and storage carts for use during special events at the Rudd Community Center. The center is used for community events, such as the Mother’s Day dinner and Halloween Happenings. It is also available for private rental for wedding receptions, meeting and other large group gatherings.

“The chairs will be used at a variety of special events in the community. Their attractiveness and comfort will increase the usage of the facility for events,” says Joyce Navratil, Treasurer of Rudd Community Betterment Corporation. “We are appreciative of the support of the Alliant Energy Foundation for making this possible for the community of Rudd.”

The Alliant Energy Foundation is committed to helping to improve the quality of life – now and in the future in the communities where Alliant Energy has a presence. The Foundation supports health and human service programs, education endeavors, civic activities, cultural and arts initiatives and environmental efforts.
