How it works

Community Solar how it works graphic

  1. Buy blocks in a local solar garden – Purchase blocks of solar to cover up to 100% of your energy use.
  2. Energy is delivered onto the grid – The energy generated is distributed onto the power grid.
  3. Alliant Energy powers the community – Clean, renewable energy helps power homes and businesses.
  4. Receive a bill credit – Receive a credit based on solar production.
