Community Growth Investment Program

Alliant Energy helps your community grow by funding projects in these areas:

Workforce

We support studies, plans, and projects to improve or grow the skilled workforce. We consider programs that align with state workforce development efforts.

Housing

We fund studies, plans, and projects focused on renovating, releasing, or building new workforce housing.

Quality of place

We support projects that add amenities and improvements to make our communities better places to live and work.

Site certification

We fund studies and engineering costs for new industrial developments working toward state site certification.

Unique needs

We allow flexibility in our programs to support unique or special projects that will make a lasting impact, including efforts to retain businesses.

Funding levels

Funding is based on financial need and project quality. No project will receive more than 50% of its total cost. Funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility

Organizations must focus on business retention, growth, or community improvement in a community or communities served by Alliant Energy. Communities must be marketing available sites on the Location One Information System (LOIS) and conducting business retention visits, such as the BEST of Iowa Synchronist visits.
