Revert to owner is an optional setting in which service goes back into the owner’s name when a tenant stops service. You can control your revert settings in the Landlord Portal.
The Landlord Portal works best on a desktop. While you can access it via web on your smartphone, we don’t recommend it. The Landlord Portal is also not available through the Alliant Energy app.
Click on “Manage Users,” then find the “Add a Guest” button in the upper right corner. Fill out the form to invite the user you’d like to add as a guest.
Properties included in a Landlord Property Agreement will show up in the Landlord Portal view in My Account. Properties not included in a Landlord Property Agreement won’t show up in the Landlord Portal, but they’re still visible in My Account. To see all your properties, switch between the Landlord Portal view and the standard My Account view using the menu at the upper right corner of the screen.
Click on “Service” at the top of the screen. Any services that are on your Landlord Property Agreement and eligible for you to stop will appear. You may choose up to 50 properties to stop service at one time. Note: Stopping service does not remove the property from your Landlord Agreement.
From the Manage Properties screen, select the property by clicking the checkbox next to it and then clicking the “Remove” button at the bottom right. This will remove the property from your agreement and cancel any Revert to owner settings that you had previously.
There are several places that you will see a “+” symbol next to an account number. Click this symbol to see all the addresses associated with the account number.
Click on “My Profile,” then “Settings.” From here you may choose either the My Account view (includes properties that are not on a Landlord Property Agreement) or Landlord view (properties that are on a Landlord Property Agreement) to display first when you log in.
