Together, Decorah and Alliant Energy build a brighter future for neighbors and local businesses

We shop local

We've invested more than $2.6 million into more than 70 local businesses, helping create jobs, drive economic growth and strengthen the fabric of the economy.

We've paid $2 million in taxes over the past decade

This directly supports essential infrastructure, community services and the continued development of Decorah and Winneshiek County.

Through our Foundation, we've donated $110,000 to community causes since 2022

  • Sponsored youth and family services holiday lights.
  • Volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to help construct homes.
  • Supported Northeast Iowa Food Bank’s drive out hunger events.
  • Sponsored a portable power station for the Winneshiek County Emergency Agency.
  • Partnered with the Ag Expo to host Tri-State Youth Dairy.
  • Contributed to the newly-constructed daycare’s Discovery Center and upgrading the transformer pro bono so the daycare could place a larger solar array into operation.

We've planted 500+ trees in Decorah through our Branching Out program

This enhances air quality, increases the beauty of local neighborhoods and improves environmental health.

We're pioneering battery storage in Decorah

Our Decorah Battery Project at Vennehjem Park advances environmental sustainability and ensures reliable power is always available.

Investing in clean energy includes investing in renewable energy projects, helping Decorah transition to a more sustainable, clean energy future.
