Alliant Energy is again acknowledged as a “Top Utility” by Business Facilities magazine. Each year the publication salutes the top utilities across the country, recognizing excellence among electric and gas utilities with respect to projects, programs and service initiatives. This is Alliant Energy’s third consecutive year receiving the honor.
In 2022, Alliant Energy partnered with community and state economic development professionals on 64 industrial and warehouse projects. These projects created $2.31 billion in new capital investment and 4,156 new jobs across Iowa and Wisconsin. Alliant Energy is the only utility company in Iowa and Wisconsin acknowledged for this prominent honor.
“We are proud of our economic development achievements in the past year and we share this honor with our partners in the communities we serve,” said John Larsen, Chair, President & CEO, Alliant Energy. “We were successful because these projects were collaborative. Economic development opportunities are just another way we serve our customers and build stronger communities.”
