CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (September 28, 2021) – Six Iowa-based nonprofit organizations are receiving Impact Grants from Alliant Energy’s Foundation totaling $160,000 to support strategic projects that directly impact Alliant Energy customers and communities.
“We are proud to support these organizations with our Impact Grants as their services and programs provide care for others that is needed now more than ever,” said Julie Bauer, executive director of The Alliant Energy Foundation. “Funding their efforts to combat challenges like hunger and housing shortage, and to promote workforce readiness, diversity, safety and wellbeing, are all vital for the growth and development of our Iowa communities.”

Thus far in 2021, Alliant Energy’s Foundation has awarded nearly $320,000 to 12 Iowa-based organizations through Impact Grants. In total, the Foundation has awarded nearly $810,000 in Impact Grants to 35 organizations across Iowa and Wisconsin.
The Alliant Energy Foundation Impact Grants support co-created, collaborative, high-impact projects that build stronger communities in four key focus areas including hunger and housing, workforce readiness, environmental stewardship and diversity, safety and well-being. Grants and donations are funded solely by Alliant Energy shareowners.
