The Rock River solar project went live in 2016. When the facility went into service, it was the largest solar generating station in Wisconsin.

  • Located on our closed Rock River Generating Station landfill site in the town of Beloit, Wis.
  • 2.3 megawatts (enough to power 500 local households)
  • More than 7,700 solar panels
  • 10 year purchase power agreement with Hanwha W Cells USA
  • First solar installation in Wisconsin permitted by the DNR on a closed landfill site
